CONCORD, NC (WBTV) -

A Concord man has been arrested after police say he was caught on camera exposing himself on a public bus.

According to police, officers began an investigation on Wednesday afternoon after a man was accused of exposing himself on a Rider Transit bus last week.

Police say the victim reported the incident to Rider's contract operator via a passenger comment card on Tuesday, a week after it occurred.

Rider Transit staff researched the complaint and successfully located the incident on surveillance video Wednesday.

Staff then contacted police and provided surveillance video of the suspect.

Within 45 minutes of circulating stills from the surveillance video, a Concord Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Joseph Lamont McDonald.

Police arrested McDonald at his home Wednesday afternoon. The Magistrate set a $2,500 secured bond, and McDonald is awaiting trial.

His next court date is scheduled for July 7, 2014.
