A Charlotte business owner called police after they said nearly 500 pounds of marijuana was delivered to them by accident.
The delivery went to an auto parts store on the 4600 block of N Tryon Street on Tuesday, according to a report from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. An employee of the business then called police.
Officers said the marijuana was wrapped into 20 bricks, and weighed 496.5 pounds. The drugs were worth $250,000.
Investigators have not said where the delivery is thought to have originated, or if they know where it was supposed to go.
The marijuana was turned in to Property Control.

According to the Mount Mourne Fire Department, the incident happened near Mecklenburg Highway and Dunmurry Road.

According to the Harrisburg Fire Department, the incident happened in the area of Roberta Road and Brookville Avenue Southwest.
The man was sentenced to serve an active prison term of nine to 13 years on Friday.
