Blood drive in memory of 3-year-old girl

Libby Jones was only three-and-a-half years old when she passed away on May 8th after being diagnosed with an aggressive leukemia last year.

Libby's family and doctors did all they could to keep her healthy, according to a blog on the Community Blood Center of the Carolina's website.

Libby often need blood and platelet transfusions. Instead of a fundraiser to help with medical bills, her parents, Josh and Barb Jones, said they wanted to host a blood drive.

Monday, her family is hoping the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas gets 100 pints of donated blood in Libby's memory.
