CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Police said one man was fatally shot after a fight in south Charlotte early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the 800 block of High Meadow Lane just after 3:30 a.m.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Gary Lane, Jr., 36, was pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center.

Officers said Lane and Loren Funches, 30, knew each other were involved in a fight before the shooting.
