Petition demands action in search for Erica Parsons

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - Three women have started a petition to implore Governor McCrory to get involved in the search for answers in the disappearance of missing Rowan County teenager Erica Parsons.

Beth Coggins Cribb and two others have created the petition on the website  So far, dozens of folks have added their support.

Parsons was reported missing in July of last year but had not actually been seen or heard from since 2011.

The case has gotten the attention of local law enforcement, the FBI, and the national media, but there has been no trace of Erica, and no one has been charged in reference to her disappearance.

A Facebook page called Concerned Citizens for Erica Parsons tracks the progress of the petition and features updates.

"This is a call to action," the administrator of the page posted.  "Erica has been to lost for to long! The people responsible have been free for to long! Please speak out, speak up for this Little Girl Lost out there! She deserves to come home! Share this page on your wall, Get your friends to like and share it, Help Bring Erica Home!
