Rowan Co. man charged with stealing money from airbase vending machines

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

A Rowan Co. man was arrested on Monday after investigators say he stole money from vending machines at the National Guard Facility at the Rowan County Airport.

Matthew Scott Hildebrandt, 25, of Landis, is charged with five counts of breaking into a coin machine and five counts of larceny by an employee, according to the report from the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

Hildebrandt's employer is listed as P & G Security.

The warrants allege that Hildebrandt took $363 from the machines without permission.

The vending machines are the property of the NC Air National Guard.

The crimes occurred at their facility at the Rowan County Airport on U.S. 29.
