Two men attacked, shots fired on Ludwick Avenue Tuesday afternoon

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - Salisbury Police were called to investigate a shooting on Ludwick Avenue, just off Gold Hill Road, but once officers arrived they determined that no one had been shot.

There was a heavy police presence at the location just after 3:00 pm on Tuesday.

Police say there was a disturbance and shots were fired, but no one was hit.

According to police, two men were on the front porch of a house near the intersection of Ludwick and Crown Point.

Two men drove up to the house in a silver pick up truck.  The men came onto the porch, got into an argument with one of the men who was there and started beating him.

When the victim's friend tried to intervene and stop the fight, he was beaten.

Police say the two assailants then got into the truck, and as they were leaving, fired two shots out of the window.

The victims refused medical treatment at the scene.
