Man wanted in west Charlotte convenience store robbery

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Charlotte are asking for the public's help in identifying a man wanted in a convenience store robbery on Monday.

The robbery happened at the Thomasboro Grocery on the 200 block of Bradford Drive around 1:39 p.m., according to Charlotte police.

Police say the suspect pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money.   

After obtaining money and cigarettes from the store, the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle in an unknown direction.
 
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 18-19 years of age, five feet five inches in height, thin build with deadlocks, and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
