One person was taken to the hospital after being shot in northeast Charlotte Monday.
The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. on West W T Harris Boulevard near the intersection of McCullough Drive.
Medic confirmed that one person, only identified as a male, was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with serious injuries.
Eastbound W T Harris Blvd was shut down between N Tryon Street and I-85 while crews conducted their investigation.
Police have not said if anyone has been taken into custody.
Officials have not released the victim's name, or said what may have led to the shooting.
