Will we hit 90 degrees Tuesday?

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Where did Spring go?

Highs bolted up to 88 degrees on Monday and will go higher today.

WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin is forecasting 90 degrees in Charlotte, the hottest so far this Spring season.

The last time we hit 90 was September 8, 2013, nearly 8 months ago.

The good news is the high humidity hasn't arrived yet.

But you can expect temperatures to remain warmer than average for the remainder of the week and beyond.

As for rain, our chance for afternoon thunderstorms looks to remain low, no more than a 20 percent chance right through Friday.

A slight pattern change brings a better chance for thundershowers both days of the weekend.
