CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating an accident that involved two vehicles on Interstate 85 early Saturday morning.
Just before 5:00 a.m., police say one vehicle caught fire, leading to the accident near Little Rock Road. The car had been traveling on a flat tire for some time when the rubber overheated and burst into flame.
The second vehicle then hit a wall, but police are still investigating what caused that car to crash.
Two lanes of traffic were blocked to drivers while the scene was being cleared.
Police say there were no injuries.
