As of 4:30 a.m.: There's a trail of developing thunderstorms running northeast from York to Rowan Counties and across Charlotte metro area.
On the road, expect a lot of ponding in the Charlotte area from a batch of storms that hit around 3:30 a.m.
Live team coverage: Brody O'Connell is monitoring flooding in the area and Ashton Pellom will be live in South Carolina where we have seen the storm gain a lot of strength because of the warm air in the southern part of our viewing area.
