Union Co parents looking to the future

Posted: Updated:
UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

The group called Citizens For Adequate Public Schools (CAPS) is sending a message to possible new Union County Public school board members.

CAPS released a statement Monday encouraging possible new board members to work with the group to create solutions to better education throughout the district.

Five school board seats are up for grabs in the fall.  CAPS wants to look to the future as they wait on movement of the lawsuit it filed against the Union County School District concerning redistricting.

The first thing CAPS wants the board to do is reverse the controversial redistricting vote.

No word when the lawsuit will continue.  In the meantime below is the complete release CAPS sent out to let people know its battle is not over.
