Deputies make arrest in Iredell Co. golf course break-ins

MOORESVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

A Mooresville man has been charged in three recent break-ins at golf courses in Iredell County.

Elliott Kyle Smith, 45, is charged with six felony counts of breaking and entering and six counts of larceny after breaking and entering, according to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives were tipped off from a caller who said Smith was involved with the break-ins at Mallard Head Country Club and Twin Oaks Golf Course.

Smith was currently out on probation for a driving while license revoked charge.

He was arrested by Mooresville police on Saturday morning.

He was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center on an $8,000 bond.
