Today: Autopsy on woman shot, killed by SC deputy

Hello! It's your friendly morning anchor Christine Nelson. Today is Friday, April 25. Here is your first look at some of the stories we're covering on WBTV News This Morning. We're on the air with live, local news coverage from 4:30-9:00 a.m. Hope you'll find the time this morning to tune in so we can get you caught up on what you need to know for the day!

Today: We have a first look at the woman shot and killed by a Lancaster County Sheriff's deputy. An autopsy will be performed on Ingrid Mayer today. The details we know so far in this case still leave some questions unanswered. Mayer was apparently driving drunk when she crashed into a ditch. One of the deputies who pulled up at the scene ended up shooting the woman in the chest.

Also, what would drive someone to kill their own sibling? We're following the story out of Lincolnton, where 44-year-old Jeffery Dwayne Anders will appear in court today. WBTV's Kristen Hampton has details on what escalated that led up to the shooting.

You can't miss it if you're out running errands, dropping kids to school or going to work. The cankerworms are still on the attack! Are you fighting the problem on your own property? Officials have given us a timeframe on when the problem will be solved. Plus, we'll tell you where to go to get in on some federal money that can be used to combat the little creepy crawlers.

How about retiring with a 140 million dollar cash pot?? That's what the man of a company you shop at regularly is taking home after hanging up his hat as CEO.
