Aroldis Chapman took the mound on Wednesday in Pittsburgh, throwing batting practice behind a protective screen.
"I feel pretty good. I did not feel anything out of the ordinary. I just felt very good," Chapman told his translator.
Chapman pitched behind a screen Wednesday as a precautionary measure. However, Chapman says next time on the mound will be different.
"My next run is going to be in Atlanta and I am not planning to use [the screen]," said Chapman.
Coach Bryan Price was impressed with Chapman's performance.
"He threw all of his pitches. He was very sharp, had good velocity, good sliders and a good changeup. It looked like midseason for him," said Price.
