CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin says after last evening's front, high pressure is building in now and will provide plenty of sunshine for both Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low-mid 70s.

Clear and chilly Wednesday night, lows will be in the 40s across the Piedmont, patchy frost is possible in the mountains and northern foothills, where lows may dip into the 30s, Conklin says.

Another front is expected to move through Friday, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms, but at this point, the threat of severe weather looks t be minimal.
