Lancaster convenience store robbed over weekend, deputies looking for suspect

LANCASTER COUNTY, SC (WBTV) -

Investigators in Lancaster County are asking for the public's help in locating a man who robbed a convenience store over the weekend.

The incident was reported on Saturday around 6:58 a.m. at Lloyd's Store on Pageland Highway in Lancaster, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say a man walked into the store, acted aggressively towards the clerk and demanded money. He took cash from the register and left the store.

The clerk was not injured.

The man was described as a black male approximately 25-35 years of age who is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds, according to the news release.  

The man was wearing a black hat, black frame glasses, jeans, and a black, white, and yellow striped shirt.  He fled the store in what is believed to be a burgundy Chevrolet Equinox.  

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about those responsible for this or any crimes in the Lancaster area to call the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office at 283-3388 or contact Crimestopper's at 1-888-Crime SC.
