LANCASTER, SC (WBTV) -

No charges will be filed in a Lancaster County fatal stabbing case after the Solicitor's Office says there is insufficient evidence to prosecute the case.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a home along the 1200 block of East Arrow Lake Court in Indian Land on Sunday morning, Feb. 16, around 1:32 a.m.

Deputies were called out to a report of a domestic disturbance at the residence.

That's when deputies found 47-year-old Jimmie Adams on the floor of the home. Adams had been stabbed and died while being treated on scene by Lancaster County EMS.

Criminal Investigators and Crime Scene Investigators arrived on scene and began a detailed investigation.

There are no outstanding suspects.

The case has been closed as a justified homicide.
