A man wanted on federal drug charges was apprehended in Salisbury on Friday.
According to the Rowan Sheriff's Office, the RCSO Sheriff's Response Team
On Friday, April 11, 2014, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Special Response team arrested Damon Leshawn Cole, also known as Damony Lashawn Cole, and as Calvin Lawayne Scott, on an outstanding federal arrest warrant and bill of indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
Cole was arrested at a home located at 414 Ashbrook Road in Salisbury.
According to the indictment, the events for which Cole was charged happened in Guilford County, in the Middle District of North Carolina, on January 26, 2012.
Following the arrest, Cole was turned over to Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration, pending an initial appearance in federal court.
