Very Wet Start To Your Day; Clodfelter Presides As Mayor

Weather is our lead story this morning and we have live team coverage!  We're getting reports of thunderstorms in the area this morning...heavy rain in other areas, including Charlotte.  And how about this...we got up to 80 degrees over the weekend...but now it's time to prepare for freezing temperatures!  A Freeze Warning will be in effect for our area from 11 PM tonight until 10 AM Wednesday.  We'll have your complete First Alert Weather details to help you get out the door this morning.

Weather is making headlines across the country.  We've seen damage in Mississippi from severe weather...and snow has been falling in Illinois!

New Charlotte Mayor Dan Clodfelterr presided over his first city council meeting since being named mayor.  Meanwhile...council approved money to provide "body cameras" for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers.  However, not everyone thinks that's a good idea.  We'll have more on the story.

Today marks exactly one year since the Boston Marathon bombings.  We'll tell you about events that will be happening in Boston today to honor those who were killed and injured in the attack.  The marathon will be held this coming Monday.

Charges could be filed today against a 73-year-old white supremacist accused shooting to death three people outside two Jewish facilities in a Kansas City suburb. Investigators have not revealed any motive for the attack allegedly carried out by Frazier Glenn Cross...who was born in North Carolina.

Crews looking for the missing Malaysia Airlines plane are hoping to get a robot submarine back into the Indian Ocean today.

And just in case you weren't aware...it is April 15th...tax deadline day!

Kevin Siers of the Charlotte Observer has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning.

Plus...the Charlotte Bobcats will play their final regular season game tomorrow night.  The Bobcats took on the Atlanta Hawks last night...and WON!  We'll have details.
