A fire broke out at a Gastonia business just before 6:00 p.m. on Chapel Grove School Road on Saturday.
Crews on scene found heavy flames in the attic of the Chapel Grove Optimist Club according to firefighters from Crowder's Mountain Fire & Rescue.
It took firefighters about 10 minutes to put out the flames.
Firefighters said the fire caused $15,000 in damages and no body was inside at the time.
Personnel were on scene for two hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Gaston County Fire Investigations Task Force.
Firefighters from Crowder's Mountain Fire & Rescue, Union Road Volunteer Fire Department, Tryonota Volunteer Fire Department, Ranlo Fire & Rescue, and Agriculture Center Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire.
