LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV) -

Three people were arrested on drug charges after deputies in Lincolnton found evidence of a meth lab inside a public housing unit.

Investigators told WBTV that they used a "proactive internet tool" to track purchases of pseudoephedrine, a drug used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Using that information, officers set up surveillance on several people they say bought the drug, and followed them to an apartment on Mauney Drive.

Investigators were given permission to search the apartment, where they say they found evidence of a "one pot" meth lab, empty packs of pseudoephedrine, cut open cold packs, and lithium batteries, all of which are precursors to the manufacture of meth.

After the search, 22-year-old Kimberly Nicole Parker, 20-year-old Carl Lloyd Almany, III, and 31-year-old Pedro Salazar Pardo, Jr. were all arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance schedule II and possession/distribute meth precursor.

Kimberly Parker was also charged with maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of child abuse.

All three were denied bond.
