VA hosting education fair

SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) - The W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury is hosting an educational fair April 15 from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Building 6 Social Room.  Those interested in pursuing a degree/career, changing careers, or going into the health care field are encouraged to attend.
The focus of the education fair will be Veterans, retired military, family members, and VA staff.  Information on all VA education benefits will be available.
Veterans and family members can learn about educational opportunities and benefits available to them in the community and online during the event. They can also learn how to use their GI Bill benefits to earn an education that will them acquire new skills and prepare them for the ever changing job market.

Representatives from area colleges, universities, and universities that offer online courses will be present.

In addition to NC State University, other participants include Catawba College, Livingstone College, Winston Salem State University, Greensboro College, Fort Hayes University, Grand Canyon University, DeVry University, East Carolina University, and many more.
