ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Crews across Southwest Georgia continued to pick up the pieces Saturday morning after high winds knocked out power to more than 1,000 customers Friday night.

A report from Georgia Power showed peak outages around 1,500 customers, mainly in Dougherty County.

Daylight Saturday morning revealed more damage from wind, including trees down across multiple counties and power outages in some locations that lingered for 11 hours.

In Calhoun County, the Sheriff said at least 16 trees were down and urged drivers to use caution Hwy. 37, 62, and 216. A grain elevator was also reported to have been blown over railroad tracks in Leary.
