ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

The owner of a Rock Hill sub shop known for using a marquee outside of his restaurant to make a statement is back again. This time he's taken aim at former Charlotte mayor Patrick Cannon.

Charlie Ruffalo, known on Twitter as @SubGuy, has posted a new sign advertising the "Mayor Cannon Sub."

"The Mayor Cannon Sub. You pay for it under the table," the Sub Station 2 billboard on Cherry Road in Rock Hill reads.

Cannon was arrested on Wednesday afternoon by the FBI and charged with federal corruption charges.

Ruffalo's signs are known for sparking conversations in Rock Hill.

The agent for Rock Hill's Jadeveon Clowney threatened legal recourse after Ruffalo posted a sign saying "Hurry in for our Jadeveon Clowney sub, it goes really fast" after Clowney's was given two speeding tickets.

Ruffalo has stated in the past that he believes the marquee is protected under his First Amendment rights.
