Frosty start gives way to warmer temps by Thursday afternoon

Posted: Updated:
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Another frosty start - at 26 degrees in Charlotte - Thursday morning.

WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin says plenty of sunshine is in the forecast for Thursday, and this time temperatures should bounce upward into the lower 60s.

There will be some high cloudiness mixing in from time to time, especially for the afternoon hours, but no rain is expected today or even tonight.

That changes Friday, Conklin says.

A front arrives and will disrupt things Friday and Saturday, as showers are a good bet both days and thunderstorms are likely Saturday afternoon.

Skies clear on Sunday and, best of all, if you like mild weather, the seasonal temperatures will hang around this time through the first half of next week.
