Aldridge new head football coach at Hough

Hough finally has a new head football coach and he is Miles Aldridge.

Aldridge comes to Hough from Spring Valley High School in South Carolina where he was the head football coach for the last 4 years.

During his tenure with the Vikings he went 28-19 including a 12-1 last season as the team lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs to Dutch Fork who is coached by former Independence, West Charlotte, and Harding coach Tom Knotts.

Aldridge has a wealth of coaching experience including 33 years as an assistant coach at the college and professional levels.  He has coached at South Carolina, Clemson, Duke, East Carolina, and NC State to name a few.  He was also an assistant in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills.

He takes over for Bobby Collins who left Hough to go become the head coach at Lancaster High School in South Carolina.

The Huskies went 10-2 last season and return a lot of talent off that team including defensive back Mark Fields who has verbally committed to South Carolina.
