Construction materials reported stolen from Habitat For Humanity home

Police in Charlotte are investigating who took construction materials from a home being built by Habitat For Humanity.

The incident was reported Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. on the 2900 block of Ridge Avenue, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Over the weekend someone took three aluminum scaffolding walkboards from inside the home, police say.

They got inside the home by smashing a ground level window with a rock.

Damage to the home and the value of the stolen merchandise is estimated at $440.

No arrest have been made in the case.
