We're looking at rain coming to the piedmont this morning...and snow up in the higher elevations of the North Carolina mountains (should make for great skiing).  Al Conklin will have all the information you'll need before you head out the door this morning. 

We're following a BREAKING NEWS ALERT:  A base spokeswoman says two people were killed in a shooting at Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia.  The shooting happened around 11:20 p.m. last night at Pier 1 on the base...a sailor and a civilian were killed.

Police have identified the four people they say murdered a 17-year-old in Clover, South Carolina.

Malaysia is under fire over its conclusion about a missing airliner from both China and relatives of Chinese nationals on the flight. Beijing is demanding the satellite data used to conclude that Flight 370 crashed into the Indian Ocean.

North Carolina transportation officials are adding six counties to the list of areas where they will clear trees and limbs that fell after a winter storm hit parts of the state earlier this month.

Duke Energy is telling South Carolina regulators that its coal ash ponds have different designs than a pond in North Carolina which dumped millions of gallons of contaminated water into the Dan River near Eden.

A collection of photographs documenting the descendants of slaves on Daufuskie Island off the South-Carolina-Georgia coast is being donated to the new African-American history museum in Washington. The National Museum of African American History and Culture is expected to open in late 2015.
