CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Team officials say renovations at Bank of America Stadium are on time and on schedule.

Impressive and imposing are two words defining the ongoing work at Bank of America Stadium, and the towering steel structure that will house one of the NFL's newest scoreboards is designed to be clearly seen by every seat in the house.

Team officials during the latest media tour said mother nature brought a series of challenges.

Scott Paul heads up stadium operations.

"With snow and rain and freezing up on those boards, but Turner has built that into their scheduled we're feeling good about that."

Reporters were given an update on stadium escalators.

Four of them are expected to move 36 thousand people an hour.

David Wagner is the stadiums architect who deals with issues and questions on a daily basis.

"How do you engineer it? How do you detail it and how to you bring it into the budget?

Another question is how to make it fan ready by July 1, when team officials say the facelift will be complete.
