Update On Children Pulled From Creek; Latest On Missing Airliner

Headed into the weekend it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day outside - and it is a busy morning in the WBTV newsroom.

Our top story...two children pulled from a creek in South Charlotte last night - they were rushed to the hospital.  This morning our Astrid Martinez will tell us what she's learned - and what condition those children are in now.

This morning police are searching for a man who opened fire on two officers during an undercover drug buy in northwest Charlotte.  The officers are okay.

There are now five planes, including one from this country, searching for that missing Malaysian airliner.  The area they're searching is so remote it takes several hours to reach by air.  We'll tell you what they've found, if anything.

If someone approaches you in the shoe section of a store and says they're training to be a foot doctor...and that they want to help you get the right shoes...ask some follow-up questions.  One local woman learned that the hard way.

People have been trying to recycle them for ages...and now a popular piece of trash WILL be allowed in Mecklenburg County recycle bins.

Plus, the true cost of driving your car...and a popular beer maker is getting into the cider business.
