Man arrested in connection to several University Area B&E's

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

University City Division patrol officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested and charged Travion Montuious Chisholm for his involvement in several residential breaking and entering cases.
 
On March 14, patrol officers were dispatched to a breaking and entering call for service at an apartment in the 8900 block of Avebury Drive. Police said a person called 911 and reported seeing a suspect push open the window of an apartment unit before attempting to break in.
 
Based on information and evidence gathered during the investigation, detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Chisolm.  On March 17, Chisolm was arrested without incident. 

During the investigation it was determined that Chisolm was also responsible for several other residential breaking and entering cases, police said.

Chisholm is currently in custody and has been charged with three counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny and two counts of possessing stolen property. 

Detectives said they are actively investigating whether Chisholm is responsible for additional breaking and entering cases.
 
The investigation is still ongoing and detectives are asking anyone with information concerning the suspect or cases is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
