Warm weather returns for the weekend but won't last long

Posted: Updated:
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin says plenty of sunshine is back again for Friday and Saturday, and milder air returns as well.

After a cold start in the 20s Friday morning, we'll rebound into the seasonal 60s this afternoon, Conklin says.

Even warmer afternoon readings are expected Saturday, as highs push 70 degrees.

But Conklin says the Spring season is code for changeable weather around the Carolinas, and here we go again!

Colder wet weather races back in here on Sunday and it will linger through Monday and perhaps even into Tuesday.

As temperatures bottom out near freezing Monday night and Tuesday morning, some areas may see an icy mix develop for a short period, otherwise, this looks to be mainly rain for most of the WBTV viewing area.

Seasonal temperatures look to return again late next week.
