Red Ventures expanding operations in the Carolinas

Posted: Updated:

The Indian Land based marketing and sales company, Red Ventures, is expanding its operations in the Carolinas.

Thursday, the company announced it will relocate close to 300 jobs to our area.

Some refer to it as the Google of the South.

Red Ventures current headquarters features wide open work space, a restaurant that serves gourmet food and even has a gym and full basketball court.

In May, Red Ventures will move into a 180,000 square foot building in Indian Land that will feature a bowling alley and a four restaurant food court.

Company officials say this is a serious investment into the Carolinas.

Red Ventures spokesperson Kylie McQuain says the company now wants to bring more jobs into the Carolinas by relocating their remote San Antonio and Miami sales operations to the Carolinas.

"As many of our employees want to move to the Carolinas, we're hoping to bring up here," said McQuain.

Good news for 521 Bar-B-Q and Grill owner Michael Dial.

"We'll hopefully they'll come down this way and eat," said Dial.

Dial has been in business at his Indian Land location for nearly a decade and has seen the area grow into the bustling hub it is today.

He hopes the move by Red Ventures will help his bottom line.

"Any kind of new development or any kind of new companies that move here, hopefully they'll check out the local cuisine," he continued.

Red Ventures officials say growing the Carolinas operation of the company is vital to the company's success.

McQuain says the company is ready to tap into the Carolinas rich potential by aggressively recruiting new talent in the region.

"We started the company in the Carolinas 13 years ago, we've been headquartered here and we know that we can attract, retain and develop really great people in the Carolinas," said McQuain.

Red Ventures officials say the company has experienced double-digit growth for the past five years and hope the move to consolidate in the Carolinas will bring even more aggressive hiring projections in the future.

Red Ventures has been ranked twice among the top 20 fastest-growing companies on the Inc. 500 list and has been named the Best Place to Work in Charlotte twice.
