CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Today at the Charlotte Convention Center longtime Johnson C. Smith basketball coach Stephen Joyner, Sr and legendary track coach at Livingstone Clifton Huff were inducted into the CIAA Hall of Fame.

Joyner is the Golden Bulls winningest men's basketball coach in the program's history with over 475 victories.

Joyner played at Smith from 1969 to 1973.  His coaching stint at Smith started in 1980 when he was named the head coach of the women's team.  He would take program to the NCAA tournament for the first time ever.

Clifton Huff ran track at Livingstone and holds the school record for the decathlon, but his true mark was made as the track coach for the Blue Bears.

He took over the program in 1991 and coached 39 All Americans, 103 all conference performers as well as 28 conference individual champs.

He was also named the CIAA Track Coach of the Year 4 times.

Also going into the Hall today were Lawrence Coleman (St. Augustine's), Harold Deane (Virginia State), Anthony Boggan (St Augustine's), Walter Lovett Sr. (Virginia State), and Bob Moorman (Hampton/1st Full Time CIAA Commissioner).
