Police investigating after man shoots through hotel window

Police in Rock Hill are investigating after a man was injured when someone shot at him through his hotel window, according to a report from the police department.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on February 26 at the Rock Hill Motel on Riverview Road.

Officials said that the 52-year-old victim told them he had bought something he "shouldn't have" from the shooter at the Quality Inn and Suites on Cherry Road.

The victim said the shooter then followed him back to his room at the Rock Hill Motel and began banging on his door. The two exchanged "hostile words" through the door before the gunman fired a gun through the window.

The victim was injured by broken glass, the report states. He was treated by EMS at the scene.
