SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

Two teenagers are facing arson charges after they lit toilet paper rolls on fire in a bathroom at Salisbury High School last month, according to police.

Police say 16-year-olds Daniel Chambers and Quashone Smith flooded a third floor bathroom.  Water from that mess flooded a second floor bathroom.

According to the police report, when the custodian went to the second floor bathroom, she smelled something burning and found a toilet paper roll still smoking.

The custodian put out the fire and cleaned up the damage from the flooded bathroom.

Salisbury Police say they were able to identify the suspects in the case thanks to the large number of video cameras in place at the school.

Chambers and Smith are both being held on felony charges of arson and are under $5000 bond in the Rowan County Detention Center.
