Murder In Huntersville; $425 Million Jackpot Winner

We'll be live from Huntersville this morning where police are investigating a murder.  It happened at an apartment complex near Birkdale village in Huntersville.

We'll also be live from Fort Mill...where we've learned an 84-year old man died - after being trapped in a fire at this home.  But before that happened, firefighters say the man saved his wife.

BOIL ALERT:  If you live in Caldwell should boil your water before using it.  That's the word from county officials following that major water main break.  The break has been fixed...but water is still being flushed though the system to clean it out.  The boil alert includes water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice and washing hands.

A Charlotte Mecklenburg police officer is facing charges of taking inappropriate pictures of underage girls.  We were there as police transferred Officer Thomas Allen to the county jail.

Despite a truce called by Ukraine's protest leaders and President Viktor Yanukovych, street fighting between demonstrators and police in the center of Kiev continues this morning.

Did you happen to buy a Powerball Lottery ticket in California?  Lottery officials say just one ticket matches the $425 million Powerball drawing...and that ticket was sold at a convenience store in central California.  Last night's drawing has a cash payout option of $242.2 million.

And...the BIG game is tonight!  The Duke - Carolina game, which was postponed due to the snow storm last week, is on tonight!  And speaking of college basketball...after winning a pair of nail-biters its previous two games, top-ranked Syracuse ran out of miracles last night. Boston College earned its first victory over a No. 1-ranked team since 2009 by upsetting the previously undefeated Orange 62-59 in overtime. BC had lost its previous five games and improved to 7-19 overall, 3-10 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
