CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Presidents Day will start with sunshine but end with lots of clouds and will definitely be cooler than Sunday, with highs in the upper 40s, says WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin.

We will stay dry during the day, but there will likely be a few showers moving through tonight into Tuesday morning, perhaps a little sleet or freezing rain in the mountains.

We will clear out quickly on Tuesday, and highs should climb into the low to mid 60s!

There's a slight chance of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, but we'll be pushing 70 degrees Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday looks partly cloudy, dry and mild with highs again near 70 degrees.

A front is expected to move through on Friday, likely bringing showers and thunderstorms to the Carolinas.
