PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A Phoenix family woke up Sunday morning to find a car inside their home, but no one was behind the wheel.
On the other side of the wall, three children were sleeping when concrete came crashing onto their beds.
According to a Phoenix police report, a truck smashed into a parked car at about 4:30 a.m., sending the driverless car flying into the home at 3830 E. Yale St., north of McDowell Road.
Jason Doughty says he's just glad his children, ranging in age from 5 to 10, are OK.
"It had to cross the entire street, go over my bumper, across my lawn and hit my house sufficient enough to throw concrete onto the bed my son was sleeping on, and thanks being to God, he's alive," Doughty said.
Insurance companies are now sorting it out.
Police cited the driver, 19-year-old Rigoberto Perez, but he doesn't face any criminal charges.
According to police and court records, in 2012, Perez was cited for an unsafe lane change.
No one was seriously injured, but a lot of damage was done to cars and the home during the early morning crash.
