A 6-year-old Pima boy got the thrill of his young life thanks to county law enforcement.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department and Pima Regional SWAT Team welcomes their newest member, Moses Thompson, last week.
Moses was sworn in by Sheriff Clarence Dupnik in a private ceremony and was immediately assigned to the SWAT Team.
Moses has an undiagnosed illness. No one knows what's causing his problems, said Pima County sheriff's spokesman Tracy Suitt. He's seen multiple doctors and is still in the process of discovery.
Moses has always admired law enforcement and SWAT Team members, Suitt said.
He became the "luckiest guy" when he put on his SWAT uniform, according to Suitt. Moses trained with SWAT Team members for the day. He did the obstacle course, breached a door, handcuffed a "bad guy" and explored a helicopter.
