Sex offenders and school bus stops

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron in the WBTV Newsroom.

At 11:00-- young people hanging out at the Transit Center uptown, some causing trouble. Police say they're watching and taking note of who is doing what. And, cops say when they identify young troublemakers, they're going strait to mom and dad to give them a warning.

Tonight "WBTV Investigates" uncovers sex offenders living near school bus stops right here in Charlotte.  Parents say it's way too close for comfort. WBTV found a number of sex offenders just a short walk from where children wait every morning. We also learned CMS doesn't check where sex offenders live - before deciding where to place a bus stop.

A flasher on the loose at Winthrop University in Rock Hill. Someone asked a young woman for directions last night, then exposed himself. Police are looking for a particular kind of car.

And, it is weather person appreciation day. Just wait until you see what we do with Eric Thomas.
