CHERRYVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

Three people have been charged in connection to a break-in at a local store, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

The incident happened in the early morning on January 25, at the Triple B One Stop on Highway 274 in Cherryville.

Deputies say the trio gained access to the business through a small window. One then went inside and passed items to another through the window.

On February 5, 18-year-old Toby Jones, 21-year-old Christopher Laughter, and 20-year-old Michael Matney, were all charged with breaking and entering a building, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods.

Officials told WBTV that Matney was already being held in the Cleveland County Jail on a probation violation.
