Warm air moving back into the region but will we dry out?

Good news if you're tired of the annoying drizzle says WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin.

The cold, damp and drizzly weather we had to endure Tuesday will soon be gone.

A warm front will lift through the area Wednesday morning, opening the door for much warmer air to pour right back into the region this afternoon.

Highs Wednesday will be nice and mild, well up into the 60s for most communities east of the mountains.

As for rain, it will still be a factor during the morning hours with a cold front immediately following, but the cool air will be slow to filter into the viewing area, so we don't expect temperatures to fall back again until Thursday.

The end of the week will be cooler, but mainly dry.

A lot of uncertainty still remains regarding the weekend forecast.

Our data is suggesting the weekend rain may partially bypass us to the east, but we're taking a wait-and-see approach.

So continue to watch for updates if you have outdoor plans this weekend.
