School board disappoints

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron in the WBTV Newsroom.

Parents vs. the school board in Union County-- all over the redistricting dilemma of school boundary lines. 800 parents showed up tonight, hoping the school board would consider an offer by the county commission to buy mobile classrooms to easy overcrowding and prevent students from switching schools. But it didn't happen. Our reporter, Mark Davenport, was there and will tell you why parents left feeling unfulfilled tonight.

An 82-year old woman, murdered in her south Charlotte home today. While police are out on the hunt for a killer, we looked at crime numbers and found there were three recent home burglaries within a 2-mile radius. A year ago, there had been none. We'll update you on the latest on the crime.

Molly Grantham traveled to Colorado to talk with Charlotte families who are moving there to get medical marijuana relief for their children. Her story touched a nerve. We've responded to numerous calls and emails. Tonight, Molly continues her reporting of the synthesized oil from the marijuana leaf called, "Charlotte's Web," which doesn't get kids high, but does help slow down seizures in children with epilepsy.
