Two charged in Lancaster Co. convenience store robbery

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged Robert Colton Mehaffey, 22, of Lancaster, with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

On Jan. 26, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Mehaffey entered Lloyd's store on Highway 9 in Lancaster armed with a handgun, according to the news release from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office. 

Mehaffey presented a note and robbed the store of money.

He was arrested on Friday and placed in the Lancaster County Detention Center without bond.


Investigators also arrested and charged Summer Faith Hinson, 17, of Lancaster, with accessory before the fact of armed robbery. 

Hinson was arrested on Saturday. 

The investigation has shown that Hinson prepared the note that Mehaffey presented to the clerk at the store, according to the release. 

Hinson also hid from and resisted deputies when she was located. 

She was also charged with resisting arrest. 

Hinson remains incarcerated at the Lancaster County Detention Center where her bond was set at $50,000.
