Two Charlotte area fast food restaurants robbed overnight, police investigating

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Charlotte are investigating two robberies at area restaurants over the past 24 hours.

The first one was reported at the Pizza Hut on the 900 block of S. Kings Drive at 7:58 p.m. Sunday night, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Two people came into the restaurant and attempted to rob it, police say.

The second robbery was reported at Hardee's at 5:30 a.m. on Sunset Road.

Police are investigating, no word yet on if the two are connected.
