CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

After sunshine and upper 60s on Sunday, we've got big changes on the way, says WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin.

Rain will be an issue for the morning and midday hours Monday, as a front moves through.

Partial afternoon clearing is possible once the rain moves out, with temps topping out in the low 60s, Conklin says.

Temperatures tumble for Tuesday, as a northeast breeze wedges cold air into the Carolinas.

Showers and drizzle are likely to develop with highs only around 40 degrees.

More rain is expected with another front on Wednesday, as we bounce back into the 60s again.

Thursday is the day we're most likely to stay dry, but Conklin says, that means more rain is in the forecast heading into next weekend.
