Sheriff: Trio arrested with 21 lbs of pot in Lowe's parking lot

UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

Three men were arrested Thursday on several drug-related charges after an undercover operation in Union County.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the trio was arrested, and approximately 21 pounds of marijuana was seized, in the parking lot of Lowe's in Monroe.

David Timothy Harris, 47, Jesus Roberto Teran Valdivia, 41, and Tomas Ramirez, 30, were all arrested, and subsequent searches were carried out at several locations in Union and Mecklenburg Counties.

During the searches, investigators said they seized $119,000 in cash, an additional ten pounds of marijuana, and additional drug paraphernalia.

Harris was charged with conspiracy to traffic in marijuana, trafficking in marijuana, maintain a vehicle to store controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $115,000 bond.

Valdivia was charged with conspiracy to traffic in marijuana and given a $25,000 bond.

Ramirez was charged with conspiracy to traffic in marijuana, trafficking in marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $100,000 bond.

 All three men were taken to the Union County Jail and are due in court on March 11.
